Joan Torras i Guardiola (Sant Andreu de Palomar, 1827 – Barcelona, 1910). Architect. In 1878, he founded Tallers Torras, Ferreria i Construccions, where the metal frame that supports Güell Palace was made.

Amongst other things, this workshop built the framework for the Sant Agustí Bridge, over the River Onyar, in Girona (circa 1878), the scaffolding for the building of the Columbus monument (1887) and the framework for the Industry and Fine Arts pavilions of the 1888 Barcelona Universal Exposition.
